Last day in Oceanside, boo!
The kids let us "sleep in" until 7! Exciting stuff!
Natalie and I walked down to the beach to collect shells while Rhys took her morning nap. She was afraid of going too close to the water and was ready to turn back home, but I convinced her to look for shells and soon enough we were walking along the beach. The tide was kind of high and we were able to get some pretty good abalone shells. Seems like it is rare to find shells on the beach in Pismo, so it was fun to actually find some!
After Rhys woke up we went down and let the kids play on the grass for a while to get them out of the condo. It had tile floors which are not so forgiving for a certain little girl who was trying her hardest to practice walking and cruising. (No actual steps, but she wants to SOO bad!).
We BBQ'd lunch and then Natalie and David swam (I'm telling you - the girl is starting to become a fish!) while Rhys napped and I started the packing process. :(
We headed down to the pier for dinner. There is a Ruby's on the pier, so we thought that would be fun. Food was so-so, but it was fun eating over the water. We ended the night with a milkshake and an entertainer came around and made Natalie a butterfly balloon - she picked brown and purple as her colors...it surprised the guy when she said "brown" as her first color..what little girl picks brown?? But, it turned out really cute.
