Lots of visitors

We've had a lot of visitors the past few weeks. Here's some highlights!

Patty, Jake & Ryan were in town for a softball tournament on the 13th / 14th. We met up at the beach! Natalie hadn't been in a long time (I think around her 1st birthday actually). She thought playing in the sand was pretty fun - and I'm pretty sure she ate a good deal of it too. She played really hard and we still only got a 5 minute nap out of the day, oh well!

Rhys napped on my lap under the shade and hung out with her Auntie. Not bad a bad trip for a 17 day old!

(Patty - I had to steal some pics from you.  I realized I did take pictures, but a lot were with your camera, not mine!)

Sunday we went to watch one of Jake's games in Morro Bay. The kids loved playing in the dirt while Rhys lounged with Aunt Patty again.

Wish we lived closer and the kids could play together more often!

We had Matt, Tania, Anna, Olivier, Mason and Grandma & Grandpa over to play this weekend. The play kitchen and ride-on horses were big hits.

Aunt Tania, Grandma & Grandpa got to hold Rhys for a while (my arms and back are thankful for a little break!).

The kids had a great time chasing each other, digging out toys, jumping, twirling and running around. 4 toddlers 3 and under definitely brings a lot of energy to one room!

Last night Joe & Heather brought the girls by to meet Rhys. Heather held Rhys while the 3 girls ran around. They played so well together! Natalie loves playing with the older kids - she and Lina were doing laps around the kitchen and having a little squealing match. Maybe it was the striped pants?

Our neighbors have a little girl that is 15 days older than Rhys. Anna brought baby Lyla over to chat the other day and the babies were wearing the same outfit! Had to take a picture of them in their summer onesies.

Lyla is 5 weeks and Rhys 3 in this picture. They weigh about the same (9+ pounds), but Lyla is a bit longer.  We were both thinking the same thing: it's a nice, warm day, and we weren't sure how long these litle outfits would fit. Rhys is size NB here and Lyla 0-3 mo.

Lots of visitors, and I know there will be more to come in the following weeks!

Sisters!

Natalie was pretty happy to find Rhys napping on the floor when she came home tonight.  She just loves her baby sister, can you tell?

3 weeks, already?

Hard for me to believe, but Rhys is already 3 weeks old? How is that possible?!

Based on our home scale she weighs upwards of 9.25lb already. She needs to slow down; this average of 1lb/wk is just too fast for me. Most of the Newborn clothes will be too small next week (not exaggerating..some onesies are already too snug and the pjs are getting too short!)

I always complain to David because Natalie is just not a snuggler. She never has been. She's always wanted her own space, her own bed, doesn't like to be rocked or sit with me on the couch. However, I think Rhys is making up for it. Guess you have to be careful what you wish for!..Rhys loves to be held and definitely prefers it to being on her own. Wonder if this is her personality or just her age. I'm hoping for a little of both as I would love to be able to put her down and get things done every now and then!

Still trying to find a pacifier that she likes. Most of the time she gives me a sour face and spits it back out. Natalie loves to give them to her though - even if Rhys doesn't want/need it! She calls it "paci" and tries to shove it in her mouth (before David or I can intervene). Trying to teach her not to pick it up..but that is tough!

David went back to work on Monday, so it's just been Rhys and I at home this week. We've been cleaning house, taking short walks, short naps, and Tuesday we even did a webinar on Real Estate Taxation! Rhys conveniently woke up during each of my breaks and lunch, so I had a rather busy day!

Sleep is going ok. We had a few nights of being up every 2 hrs - that was rough. I've been making sure she doesn't go longer than 3 hrs during the day (usually not a problem!) and trying to keep her awake a little more during daytime. Last night we got two good stretches - about 5 hrs and then 3! Progress! Hoping this continues and improves.

Family Outing

This weekend we decided to venture out of the house for a bit.  We thought Natalie would enjoy the Zoo, so we drove up to Atascadero.  Small Zoo..I think we were there for an hour and a half and saw everything twice, at least.

I think her favorites were the giant tortoises (definitely the scientific name!), as she kept saying "Rocky!"  - the name of the tortoise at daycare.  She also thought the meerkats were pretty fun.

We got to try out the double stroller; seemed to work great as Rhys slept the whole time!  The stroller is pretty flexible - it has two seats for when the kids are both old enough to sit, but for now Rhys gets to ride in the comfy bassinet (reclined seat).  One downside: it has a carseat attachment, but there isn't enough room for the second seat when the carseat is attached.  So, the carseat essentially makes it a single stroller.
We got a bit of a later start than we wanted (hey, only an hour!), so Natalie was really ready for lunch and got a little fussy at the end.  We knew it was time to head home.  Rhys was due to eat too, so it worked out perfectly.  Except the part where Natalie didn't want to nap when we got home.  That always makes for an interesting day.

Natalie is quite interested in her baby sister.  I'm pretty sure the first thing she says when she wakes up is "baby!" or "Rhys!" and those are the first words she says when she comes home from daycare.  Any time Rhys makes a little squeak or cough, Natalie runs to her and says "ok?"  I took Natalie for a short walk tonight and she kept asking for her Daddy and Rhys the whole time we were gone.

Rhys is a good baby so far.  She eats well, to say the least!  We took her for her 2 week checkup this morning.  She weighed 8lb 4oz (up 10oz in a week!), although she had just finished eating, so her weight was probably more like 8lb - 8lb 1oz, a more reasonable increase of 6 - 7oz for the week.

We are still getting decent sleep.  Still gotta work on Rhys being a little more independent when she sleeps.  She seems to think she needs to be within 12" of her mama at all times - day and night!  I keep putting her in the bassinet during the day so she gets used to it, but sometimes she refuses.  Although, she did take a 2 hr nap in the swing today, so that is some progress.  She is so much more cuddly than I remember Natalie being; Natalie always wanted her own space from day one!

Getting a picture of the girls together has been tough!  Natalie typically won't sit still long enough, or the camera catches a blurry shot because she is moving around.  When we ask Natalie if she wants to hold Rhys, she says "yes! picture?" haha.  I guess she knows that we want to get a picture of them together.  When we got the camera out, she wanted to take the picture, so we bribed her by letting her play with our old camera (the one that we stopped using 3 years ago because sometimes random lines show up on the pictures. So instead of getting rid of it, we just stashed it in the electronics pile..no idea why, but glad we have it for Natalie to play with).  Here's a sample of what we got:

Picture Parade!

I mostly want to update everyone with pictures. I didn't get one of all the hospital visitors on our camera (I'm missing most of the Remillards!), so I'm posting what I have, but would love more of the family.. please send me a copy!

For a fun comparison...
Rhys

Natalie

We came home Saturday afternoon.  Natalie skipped her nap, but was super happy to see her sister.  Grammy & Papa were able to stay until Sunday, which turned out really well for nighttime.  Grammy was on Natalie-duty, a huge help!  We've survived Nights #1, #2, and #3 at home.  #1 involved Natalie waking a few times, nights #2  & #3 were peaceful - Natalie didn't stir one bit.  Rhys has been sleeping like a pro.  She eats around 11pm, and is up around 3:30/4 and 6:30/7.  Not bad!

Natalie still has a bit of a transition to go through.  She didn't nap at all on Saturday or Sunday which made for some emotional nights.  Lots of changes for a soon-to-be 2yr old.  She can throw quite the tantrum when she is tired and not getting her way.  Luckily things seem a little better now that we are getting back to her old routine.

Natalie is doing really well as far as her reactions to Rhys.  The first thing she asks about in the morning is "baby".  She loves to kiss her on the head.  She asks to carry and hold her..we've helped her hold her on the couch, but I think the carrying part will have to wait! :)  We have to remind her not to touch her face and to be gentle, but so far she really does well.  She doesn't seem to have any direct problems with Rhys being at home, with us holding her, or with me spending time feeding her.  Of course it's only been a few days..but so far, so good!  Last night she even helped us give Rhys a bath.  I thought she would just stand there (on the step stool) and watch, but she grabbed a washcloth and started trying to clean too!

Rhys has such a calm, easy going personality so far.  She's eating every 2-3 hours during the day, has short awake periods (10-15 min here and there) and then sleeps the rest of the time.  She seems pretty content with eating and is then back to sleep.  She reminds us a lot of Natalie so far, so here's to hoping she will continue to be an easy baby!

One challenge so far has been getting Rhys to sleep by herself.  She loves to cuddle and curl up with her mama.  I couldn't get up too easily in the hospital and David was snoring away, so after her nighttime feedings, she would usually fall asleep next to me.  She wants to do the same at home.  We try to put her in the bassinet, but she can't seem to settle down and wants to be held.  We got the Halo Sleepsack out last night and that seems to work wonders.  Hoping that continues!

We took Rhys for her check-up today.  We are going to have us a roly-poly baby here shortly.  She weighed 7 lb even the night before we left the hospital.  It has only been 3 full days and she was at 7lbs 10oz today! The goal was to have her back at birth weight (7lb 8oz) by her 2 week appointment...which isn't for another week.  Apparently she has an appetite!

Rhys Update

Miss Rhys is doing really well!

It's quite a bit different experience with the feedings so far. It took Natalie about a week before she was interested in nursing, but Rhys is already catching on! She does little marathon sessions (off and on for 2+ hrs) and then sleeps, sleeps, and sleeps! Both nights she has only been up once to eat between 11pm and 7am! It's funny - the nurses prefer she is up every 3hrs, but the pediatrician is encouraging us to let her sleep. We obviously like the Dr's position better :)

Since Rhys is nursing I'm not having to pump like I did with Natalie. So much better! No pump parts to clean, fewer middle of the night interruptions, and much less stressful! (although the pumping gave David more duties since he was the bottle feeder last time..I told him to rest up - I'll definitely need more help at home!)

I feel a little more soreness than I remembered having last time. But, I'm still able to get up and walk around. Just a little slow on the getting up part. We will probably go home tomorrow (Saturday). Overall I feel pretty good. No major pain, no swelling, no nausea. Blood pressure has been great. And eating real food again is super!! (even if it has been mostly hospital food). Tania brought us Panera Bread salads last night - so nice to have a decent amount of Bread again and not worry about the effect on blood sugar!

I think it's about naptime now :) will update more later.

Rhys Kathryn is here!

Rhys (pronounced Reece) was born this morning!

7/27/11 @ 7:36am
7lb 8oz, 20in

She has lots of dark hair and this morning after her bath it had a lot of curl to it!

Rhys had lots of visitors today! She mostly slept through all of the commotion, but did open her dark eyes a few times to say hello. No idea yet what color they are.

She has been nursing off and on, so I think she will really do well with the feedings. Very different experience from Natalie's eating habits the first week.

The c-section went great! I was so much more alert and aware the whole time. I mentioned to antisthesiologist (no idea how to spell!) that I was really sick after Natalie's surgery, so he put some magic potion in my IV and I wasn't even the slightest bit nauseous! So much better! Took me a while to get feeling back, but I think that's good since I haven't had any pain yet! David & Rhys were able to hang out in Recovery Room with me, so that was really special!

Rhys' blood sugar tested fine 3 times, so they are done poking her poor little feet! Yay! And I haven't had to test mine all day, such a nice break! Even got to have juice today! My how I've missed my apple juice!

We are resting now. Rhys is sleeping, and David & I slept for a while. Felt good since I woke up at 1:30am and couldn't go back to sleep (made mental notes of all the things I didn't want to forget to pack!) got to hear the rocket launch from VAFB. So, it's been a looong day.

Will update more later. iPhone pics aren't the best, so I'll have to post more after we get home.

Still on schedule!

I'm home from what I hope is the last of my Dr appointments for a while! I had another ultrasound to check the Fluid level this morning. I was surprised (as was the Dr) that it was back up to 12! Normal!

She asked what I had done differently this week. I told her Nothing. She said that rest and water will generally help a lot. I'm not on any type of Dr ordered bedrest, but I have been getting good naps and doing a lot of reading the past two days. I guess my self-imposed rest has really helped!

I had an NST at the OB office and that also went well. Few contractions, but baby's heartrate looked good.

Oh, and since baby had more room to move today, the Dr was able to confirm GIRL! (she offered, I didn't even think to ask)

So, I'm just relaxing and waiting for next Wednesday to get here! 5 (yikes!) more days. I was sort of hoping it would be earlier, but I'm ok with waiting. She'll be here soon!

Staying put for now

Had my OB appointment today. David and I both thought he was going to be extra concerned and want to schedule surgery for tomorrow, so I rushed around all morning doing all of the last minute stuff while David cleaned up things at work. Went to the appointment and Dr said "don't worry, everything is just fine."

Sooo, staying put for now. It's kind of confusing because the specialist that did the measurements definitely seemed concerned.

The NST seemed to go well today. Baby's heartrate looked normal. The monitor kept losing her though; she was wiggling around a lot.

The current plan is to go back to the specialist on Friday morning for another fluid check. I have my NST scheduled for later that morning so I can discuss results with my OB. He said if levels are less than 5, we'll need to take action.

At least now I should get a few days of rest in before her arrival!

Maybe 8 days, maybe fewer, who knows?!

9 days - and maybe even fewer..!

David and I went to the Growth Scan ultrasound today. Here's the latest!

The Dr. came in and did a bunch of measurements on the baby. She is definitely head-down. He checked the head, abdomen, and femur for size. He thought the baby's size looked good. He checked her heartrate and that also seemed good and strong. She was so crammed in there that there was definitely no confirming "boy" or "girl" this time around!

Towards the end of the measurements, he measured the amniotic fluid...and, the result was low. Came in around 7cm. So, he checked it again, and it was between 6cm and 7cm. He said that normal range is 5 - 21 cm, but most women at this point are between 12 and 16cm. He said causes would be:
1. Placenta is matured and beginning to deteriorate.
2. I am leaking fluids (not that I know of).
3. I am past my due date and baby is overdue (not the case).
4. There was some obstruction in the flow (not that he could see).

So, it's probably #1 or #2 above. He setup another ultrasound for Friday to check the levels again. I have my regular OB appointment tomorrow, so he'll have a copy of today's ultrasound report and I'll discuss with him. I'm not sure if he will want to take action or wait until Friday to see how things look. I suspect tomorrow's NST will have some influence, but I'm not sure.

Handy-dandy Google searches seem to indicate that numbers below 5 result in immediate induction or c-section. So, I guess we'll know tomorrow what the plan of action is!

I relayed the info to Natalie's babysitter and she said "good thing you took time off to relax before the baby!" Ha! Yeah, maybe 2 whole days...which mostly involved Dr. appointments and picking up around the house.

Guess we'd better get serious about picking this girlie's name!

7.17.2011

10 more days!

Our family of 3 will shortly become 4! My c-section has been scheduled for July 27th if baby doesn't come before that! Crazy how time has flown by!

A fair warning..most of this post is just so that I remember all of the details of this pregnancy...probably not too interesting for others...

The past 2 months have been quite interesting as far as the pregnancy goes. Mid-May I took the 2 hr Glucose Test for and it came back elevated. My Dr. recommended I be treated for Gestational Diabetes (GD). I was really upset about the whole thing. I didn't understand how I could have this as the only risk factor that applied to me was being over 25 yrs old. I Googled everything I could think of and asked everyone I knew that had dealt with it before. I'm sure I was driving my Dr. crazy with my questions and resistance!

I setup my appointment with Sweet Success - a statewide program to help pregnant mothers deal with GD. I was somewhat relieved that they couldn't get me an appointment for 3 weeks, but I immediately changed my eating habits while I was waiting. I went for my first appointment there on June 13th and was setup with a Blood Glucose Meter, instructed to test 4 times a day (prick my finger - ouch!) and continue to watch my carbs. The first week went pretty smoothly, but I discovered my morning coffee would have to go - it gave me a high reading and I wasn't about to subject myself to insulin shots if I couldn't keep it under control! After the first week, my hormones continued to rise and caused my morning blood sugar to rise significantly. It didn't seem to matter that I was still eating the same foods; my body seems to have a mind of its own. So, at my next appointment, I was given a low dosage prescription for Glyburide to help control my fasting blood sugars. Thankfully it is an oral medication, not insulin shots!

I went in for another appointment around 36 weeks and the dietitian and Dr both seemed to think that my numbers were acceptable and that my hormone levels would be dropping in the coming weeks. I still have to test my blood sugar and continue the low carb diet, but I don't have to go back for monitoring. Hooray!

The low carb diet has saved me quite a few extra pounds this time around. Total weight gain is around 22lbs, which gives me hope it will all disappear quickly this time! I must say I won't be surprised if this baby doesn't like peanut butter or nuts..I've been going through both in large quantities. I can't wait until I can eat all of the wonderful summer fruits again...I've been limited to one or two SMALL pieces a day (as long as I eat it with nuts), which is soooo hard for someone who loves practically any and all fruit and lots of it!

So, that has been my GD experience. While I still don't understand why it it effected me, I think I was able to come to terms with the fact that I did not cause it, it is something controlled by hormones and out of my control. Very ready to be done with it - and have a Starbucks Mocha!

The other issue that I had to deal with this pregnancy has been pelvic pain. In one of my mid-pregnancy blogs, I mentioned that I had a lot of pain but that my midwife said it was round ligament pain. Well that pain continued to elevate and persist so much to the point that I could hardly walk! It got to where I couldn't lift either foot off the floor without shooting pain, rolling over in bed was miserable, getting dressed and getting into the car were horrible. The worst part was that it hurt so bad to pick up Natalie. So, back to Google I went. I came across some articles that listed a bunch of symptoms for Pelvic Misalignment and I had 9 of the 10! Some sources suggested that a chiropractor could help. I've always been skeptical of chiropractors as I hadn't ever needed one, but I immediately found one and went. I figured it couldn't get any worse!

ONE appointment was all it took to figure out the cause! The right side of my pelvis was shifted forward causing bones to rub and muscles to stretch and pull in ways they weren't supposed to. My right leg was visibly (to the chiro, anyway) longer than the left. She had me turn on my side, and did one "pop" of an adjustment and it was back in place!! It took another week or so for the muscles to stop being sore, but I could lift my feet again! I continue to go back for periodic adjustments. I guess the hormones that relax the joints for birth were causing things to shift, but for the most part I've been able to keep it under control. So glad I made that appointment, because I couldn't imagine surviving another 10 weeks of pregnancy with that kind of pain! (and it's not in the cards for me, but I have no idea how I would have survived a natural birth)

The GD has also made this pregnancy somewhat high-risk. The Dr. likes to monitor GD patients closer to make sure the baby is not at risk. I started going twice a week for NSTs (non stress tests)..it sounds worse than it is. I go into the office and they hook me up to a monitor for 20-30 minutes to record the baby's heartrate and any contractions. They are watching for the baby to move and see that the heartrate accelerates and then returns back to normal. It's kind of a nice break in the middle of the day and I get to hear the baby moving around. This last Friday (just short of 38 weeks), I finally showed some contractions. I wasn't entirely sure whether I was feeling contractions or just baby stretching, but the monitor was definitely showing contractions. I've continued to feel them off and on, but nothing consistent.

This coming Monday (July 18th), I'm going in for another ultra-sound to check the baby's size. (GD can cause large babies). I'm guessing (hoping!) it shows that everything is normal, since I'm still measuring right on track. David's coming too which will be nice since he hasn't gone to most of the routine appointments.

My blood pressure has been super, so that is a relief. A lot of times women with GD end up with elevated blood pressure and pre-eclampsia. I was worried that mine would creep up, but Friday it was 110/60, so definitely not elevated. And I've had virtually NO swelling! A couple of times my feet have been sensitive after standing for long periods of time, but other than that, everything looks normal. In fact, I can still fit my wedding ring...it feels a little tight, but it does fit!

I've definitely been having more of a "Nesting" instinct this time around..at least the last week or so. We've been rearranging furniture, cleaning out cabinets, I've got the baby clothes sorted, washed and put away. We're going to try having the girls share a room, so we've been moving things around a bit to make room for everything. David installed the car seat and bases yesterday! Only thing left on the to-do list is to pack for the hospital - and I'm even a little nervous that that won't get done!

I'm officially on Maternity Leave! We did some last minute cramming at work to get most of my projects cleaned up. I hate the feeling of leaving things half-done for others to pick up my slack, but we did what we could to get most things done. I'll have to go back around September 1st to help with an ugly deadline on the 15th, but hopefully I can do some things from home and help out when I can.

Another update coming soon..!

Milestones!

Big Milestones this week!

Tuesday, 6/21 (first day of summer, should be easy to remember), Natalie decided she wanted to sleep in her big-girl bed! We had gotten a toddler bed at a yard sale awhile back and David repainted it and put it in her room. It's been there a month or so. Usually its purpose is a jungle gym for Natalie and she thinks its fun to bounce on. For whatever reason, Tuesday night she decided she wanted to go Night-Night there. I convinced her to get down so we could put PJs on, and then she hopped back up and said Night-night. David and I looked at each other and decided to let her try. We told her good night, gave her a little milk, and left her door open a crack. Then we waited for her to come running out to the living room, but instead we didn't hear even a peep! We couldn't believe it. She repeated this every night since then. (took a break on Saturday night since she wasn't feeling well and didn't sleep too great). I keep expecting her to want to get in her crib, but so far she's stuck with the big-girl bed.

So exciting and a little sad too. We can't believe she is growing up so fast! And, we fully expected the bed transition to be a gradual move with a lot of ups and downs..if this was it, it was way too easy! (now that I've written this for the public to see, I'm sure we are guaranteed a little regression).

On Wednesday (6/22) we made the Big Flip - Natalie now faces forward in her car seat. We let her do it a few weeks ago when we were travelling, and occassionally she rides forward with daycare and lately she has been really resistent to sitting down and getting buckled. She was cranky and crying and it just wasn't easy to get her in the car. So..we flipped the seats and she is a much happier camper! She likes to point out cars and dogs, and we have little mini conversations now that she can see me.

Natalie knows quite a few animals and their sounds. Took me by surprise..she must be working on them at daycare. The other night I asked her where her sheep toy was and she responded by picking it up, saying "sheeps" and then "baaa"! So, then I tried cow..she said "Cow" and "mooo". She also knows monkey and chicken, but both of them do similar sounds..she flaps her arms and says "ah ah ah". Horse is still a work in progress.

I don't think I can even begin to write down all of her vocabulary any more; she's picked up a lot of new words lately. One that surprises me is that she understands the context of "off" and "on". She'll use it for both turning the TV on/off as well as putting her shoes on/off!

Approximate 20 month stats (since I'm already a little late!)
Weight: 24lbs
Height: 33ish inches
Diapers: size 4
Clothes: 18 mo & 24 mo

I fully intended on this post having pictures and more of an update, but if I keep waiting to post, she'll be 21 months. So, might as well make it live. Besides, maybe I'll have more free time soon, you know, after baby #2 gets here, right?! Ha!

Mixed results

My Dr's office called at 6pm tonight; never a good sign. My bloodwork didn't come back with the greatest results.

Glucose Test: score of 149, anything higher than 140 is considered "failing". She's ordering a 2hr test, and I'm planning to take it on Sat. Really not looking forward to it - it's a fasting test. I barely survive eating breakfast first thing in the morning. Not sure how I will make it to 10am with no food! I just really want to pass so I don't have to test my blood sugars from here on out. Let's hope the 1hr just gave false results.

Iron level: 32, anything above 35 is normal. Slightly anemic. She said it's not low enough to be too concerned, but iron supplements wouldn't hurt. I told her I'll probably pass for now because the iron made me nauseous last time. I just finished with the morning sickness, I really don't want to deal with that again so soon! (but based on my 1st pregnancy, I'm expecting it to return in a few weeks anyway).

Vitamin D: finally some good news. Score of 62, back in the normal range. She said to keep taking the Vit D, but lowered the dosage.

Guess I need to find a good book for Sat morning at the lab.

Thursday Thank You

Natalie made me laugh this morning when I went to get her up for the day. Just wanted to share:

Me: Oh, man. Baby, it stinks in here!

Natalie: (BIG smile on her face) Thank You!

Guess we better keep working on context...

Around our house lately

What better way to kill an hour waiting to be done with my Glucose Test than blogging?! (hoping this goes well and I get to avoid the 3 hour test!)

Natalie has really been ramping up her vocabulary! Since I last posted she says "thank you". So cute, it sounds like "sank you". I have a video but can't upload from my phone..will post it later! She thanks us for everything..food, drinks, toys, and just randomly!

She's also been repeating random words. Waffle (waffafle), cookie, dinner, water, car. I told her she was going to the store with daddy on Sunday and she said "car?". She ran to the door and then came back when I didn't follow and said "go?"

Natalie asks to go "side" (outside) about 100 times a day! She loves being outside and is getting a little tan to prove it!

My favorite thing she has been doing this week is pointing and saying our names!! She points at me and says "mamma"! (sometimes repeatedly), then she points to David and says "daddy". She's so proud of herself. We try to have her say "Natalie", and it comes out like "nayaly". On Sunday (Mother's Day) she was having a little bedtime protest. David went in to calm her and she kept demanding her Mamma. David came out and said I needed to go. We used to get to decide whose turn it was, but I guess she has an opinion!

We've been working on other names too. So far she repeats Rylee (daycare buddy), and she points to our family picture and says Papa (& mama & daddy), but that's about as far as we've gotten. She says something like Grandma, but not real consistent or clear.

Last night David was showing her the old Natalie videos on his phone. She sat there and watched and laughed for a long time. She just loves babies, so I hope the baby transition in our house goes smoothly!

Pregnancy is going well. Had an appointment last month before Easter. Measuring on track and good BP (116/62). The morning sicknes seems to have finally cooled off. Lasted until week 27 this time. I've been having a lot more pains than last time. Midwife says it is Round Ligament Pain. Oh the joys!

Still no name progress for baby #2. she gets referred to as Baby or Baby Sissy most days. Natalie always asks to "see" the baby and lifts up my shirt. The other morning she even tried to feed her! It was the cutest thing - she lifted my shirt and put her milk cup up there like she does to her dolly!

I'm 28 ish weeks now. Baby should be here in 11 weeks (not sure when I'll get a date) thats only +/- 77 days! Yikes! Probably another 10 weeks of work. Lots to do!
